My chosen conflict for this semester is the American Revolution. I chose this conflict because it has a plethora of easily accessible information and primary sources. To me, that was certainly the greatest deciding factor for what topic I picked. I am hoping that through this class my researching skills can improve to the point where accessibility of information is less of a factor, if it is even a factor at all. Furthermore, I am fascinated by the decrees and taxes that preceded the American Revolution. I suppose that’s just the economics major in me.
